NAKURU CITY MODELLING ASSOCIATION
Event Accreditation Framework
NCMA provides event accreditation for fashion shows, pageants, modelling competitions, and promotional modelling activities within Nakuru and surrounding regions—promoting professionalism, model welfare, and ethical practice.
Scope of Accreditation

- Safe changing areas and backstage facilities
- Clear rehearsal schedules and event timelines
- Respectful treatment of all participants
2. Transparency & Communication
- Clear expectations and roles for models
- Timelines shared in advance
- Professional communication channels
3. Professional Event Management

- Proper runway / stage arrangements
- Professional judging processes (where applicable)
4. Ethical Industry Practices
- Protection against harassment or exploitation
- Respectful brand representation
- Responsible engagement of models
Prize & Model Compensation Protection
To protect models and contestants from unfair practices, events seeking NCMA accreditation must demonstrate transparency regarding prizes, registration fees, and compensation commitments.
Verified Prize Commitments
- Only advertise prizes that are confirmed and available
- Organizers may be required to provide sponsor confirmation or proof that prizes are secured
- Prize value and award type should be clearly stated (cash, product, or opportunity-based)
Registration Fee Transparency
- Clearly state the participation or registration fee amount
- Explain what the fee covers and what contestants receive
- State whether the fee is refundable or non-refundable
Timely Award of Prizes
- Cash prizes or awards should be presented during the event or within a reasonable timeframe after the event
- Failure to honor advertised prizes may lead to withdrawal of NCMA accreditation
Protection Against Exploitation
- NCMA discourages events that rely heavily on contestant fees without delivering meaningful value
- Events must not mislead contestants with unrealistic promises or unverified rewards
Accreditation Use
Events that comply with these standards may display the official NCMA Accredited Event mark as a symbol of professionalism, transparency, and respect for model welfare.
